WHAT IS A OFFICE QUIET SPACE OR ZONE?

An Office Quiet Zone or Quiet Space is an area of the office that is put aside for work requiring focus and concentration. It should also be available for anyone to use who needs it. A Quiet Space could be a designated area within a larger room or it could also be a small enclosed room, booth or pod. However it is becoming a standard part of a modern office for work that needs concentration and quiet to achieve a good result.

WHY DO YOU NEED AN OFFICE QUIET ZONE OR SPACE?

One of the most common complaints from office workers is that they don’t have anywhere to go where they can concentrate. The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown has made people aware of the value of having peace and quiet. However it also has made them aware of the need for social interaction with their colleagues. We believe that this has made it even more important for offices to include quiet space within their design.

FURNITURE FOR OFFICE QUIET ZONES

We have a complete range of furniture designed for quiet zones or spaces. They could be a free-standing meeting pod or booth for use in a larger room. Alternatively they could be phone boxes or phone hoods where person can take phone calls. Or they could be simple task chairs with a small desk that is placed in a room.

THE OFFICE QUIET AREA SHOULD BE MULTI-FUNCTIONAL

The Office Quiet Zone or Space should be a multi-use space that can be used for many tasks. With careful design an area can support a wide variety of tasks from focused work, one-to-one meetings and also to take phone calls. To maximise the use of the area it is best if it is equipped with network connection and power, a projector or LCD screen.

In addition to the main office area they also wanted to have quiet working areas, touchdown areas and informal meeting spaces.
