SportPursuit chose to partner with Spectrum Workplace to create an industrial style office for their new office space in London. SportPursuit wanted to create an inspiring and cool office environment because their workforce are generally younger and very sociable.
The new office space was located in Kennington, South London. It provided a fantastic shell to work with because it had exposed ceilings with original brick walls which lent itself to an industrial style. Consequently the design team at Spectrum developed a new flexible office design concept that capitalised on the industrial building style. The main open-plan office was divided by a ‘spine’ section which housed, for example, open and closed meeting rooms. In addition it contained private work spaces, personal locker storage and changing rooms for commuting staff. Traditional meeting rooms were replaced by multi-purpose collaborative spaces because they could be used for both meetings and quiet work.
THE RIGHT PARTNER FOR AN INDUSTRIAL STYLE OFFICE DESIGN PROJECT.
SportPursuit were looking for a partner they could rely on to deliver their project successfully. Because they were growing fast it was important that their management didn’t get too involved and therefore could focus on their own business. In addition they wanted to work with a design team that could create the industrial design style they wanted.
One thing that set Spectrum Workplace apart at the design stage was the way we worked closely with them. In addition we took time to really understand their requirements in detail. As a result the design met their brief and the end result was an inspiring and motivating industrial style office.
