“We enjoyed working with Spectrum Workplace on the design and refurbishment of our offices in Kennington Park in London. Their expert advice helped create an office that we are really proud of and has boosted our staff productivity”.
Office Manager, Sport Pursuit
SportPursuit are a progressive online sports retail organisation which has seen rapid growth in the recent years. They needed a complete design & build company who had the capability to understand the company culture and then create a bespoke office environment for them.
“Spectrum helped us through the process of creating an amazing workspace, their design team were really inspirational in bringing our ideas to life”.
Office Manager, SportPursuit
SportPursuit chose to partner with Spectrum Workplace to offer a complete Design and Build package for their new offices in central London. SportPursuit were looking to create an engaging office environment that was suitable for their high energy, dynamic workforce.
The new offices were part of the Kennington Business Park and provided a fantastic shell to work within offering exposed ceilings throughout with original brick walls and beams. The design team at Spectrum developed a new flexible workspace that allowed their team to work collaboratively, the main open workspace was divided by a ‘spine’ section, this new structure housed open and closed meeting rooms, private work booths, locker storage and changing spaces for commuting staff. The purpose of this new layout came from a need to work less formally, traditional meeting rooms were replaced by co working spaces that allowed staff to work flexibly and easily.
As purveyors of outdoor clothing and equipment, Sport Pursuit were keen to use large format graphics as textured backdrops within the interior as a layered reference to the industry they work in, the use of rougher textures such as reclaimed cladding brought an element of the outdoors to this urban office. The existing building provided an industrial palette to the scheme with the exposed structure, services and brickwork presenting an interesting juxtaposition to the clean, sharp edged spine that cuts through the main working space.
