Spectrum Workplace transformed Boundless CSMA’s underutilised office into a modern, inclusive headquarters, creating a brighter, collaborative and community-focused workplace that enhances connection, culture and day-to-day working life.

Working within their existing Brighton base, the project objective was to improve how the space supported day-to-day working life, while also creating a workplace that encourages collaboration, connection and a stronger sense of community across teams.
The design approach focused on unlocking the potential of the existing space through improved layout efficiency and a more considered balance between collaboration, focus and social interaction. A reconfigured floorplate introduces clearer zoning between work settings, breakout areas and meeting spaces, enabling teams to move seamlessly between different ways of working throughout the day.
A key driver of the project was creating a more inclusive and welcoming workplace experience. The design adopts a calm, neutral colour palette throughout, helping to create a consistent sense of clarity, balance and visual comfort. This is complemented by a range of spaces that support both collaborative working and quieter, more focused tasks, improving overall usability and wellbeing.
Client feedback highlights the significant transformation achieved, with the workplace moving from a tired and underused environment to a modern, open and inclusive space that actively supports collaboration and a positive working atmosphere. The improved spatial flow and enhanced breakout areas have helped to encourage informal interaction and strengthen relationships across teams.
The refined interior palette introduces a light, neutral aesthetic that enhances natural light and creates a calm, uplifting atmosphere throughout the workspace. Material choices were carefully considered to balance durability with warmth, ensuring the environment feels both practical and welcoming while maintaining a consistent visual softness across all areas.
Throughout the project, Spectrum Workplace provided end-to-end delivery, ensuring the design intent was carried through from initial strategy to final completion. Careful coordination and close collaboration with the client team ensured the project was delivered smoothly, with minimal disruption and a strong focus on quality at every stage.
The completed headquarters now provides Boundless CSMA with a workplace that better supports collaboration, enhances employee experience and reflects the organisation’s community-driven ethos. It offers a more flexible and adaptable environment that can evolve with the business, while also improving day-to-day usability and workplace satisfaction.
